Horror/Comedy: Behind the Mask 2007

A self-promoting serial killer who dreams of being the most infamous slasher of all time hires a documentary film crew to follow him as he launches a reign of terror on a small town. Preparing tirelessly for his murderous debut, Leslie Vernon shares his bloody ambitions with director Taylor and her crew. (netflix.com)
Grade: C+
This movie caught me off guard. I was expecting it to be something more scary, but was pleasantly surprised when the comedic aspect came out. In this movie that camera crew and journalist that are fallowing around this aspiring killer are TOTALLY ok with the idea that he will be murdering people soon! They also mention other movie serial killers that were supposed to be real, talking bout their "careers" and techniques. Apparently Michael Myers, Freddy Kruger and a host of other slasher movie killers were part of a secret "club" with a whole bunch of murder etiquette rules! There were plenty of funny moments, but the "serious" moments weren't up to slasher movie standards (in my book).
